- The Hirose connector on a ProVid monitor uses pin 1 for ground (black), pin 2 for video negative, pin 3 for video positive, and pin 4 for positive voltage (red).
- Pin numbers on Hirose connectors are marked inside the connector itself in very small text that can be difficult to read.
- Soldering Hirose connector pins vigorously can cause the pin numbers to melt back into the plastic housing, making them illegible.
- When repairing a Hirose connector with illegible numbers, replacing it with a new connector is easier than attempting to use the old one.
- Using a circuit tester to verify all connections helps confirm correct pinout when numbers are not visible.

- Information applies specifically to ProVid monitors from around 1995.
- Pin markings can become illegible during soldering if excessive heat is applied.
- Visual confirmation of correct pinout in the original thread depended on an attached image which is not provided here.
