- The Nebtek Solar 7" HD monitor can be physically mounted to the XCS Ultimate 2 sled.
- The monitor is light in weight and may require extension or battery ballast for proper rig balance.
- In outdoor conditions with bright overcast light, the Nebtek displayed brightness levels comparable to a budget LCD TV, though the Nebtek appeared washed out while the budget model showed better color fidelity.
- The Nebtek Solar HD7SC model has a 1000 NIT brightness specification, which is significantly brighter than the earlier 70HDS model at 600 NIT.
- Multiple users reported difficulty obtaining repairs or warranty support from Nebtek, with the company suggesting replacement rather than repair.
- Outdoor monitor performance varies significantly between overcast conditions and direct sunlight, making brightness testing conditions important for evaluation.
- Nebtek offers a mounting spud to 1/4"-20 adapter for attaching the monitor to compatible arms.

- The comparison test was conducted in bright overcast conditions, not full direct sunlight, which is acknowledged as not ideal for evaluating daylight-viewable monitors.
- The original comparison involved different signal types: the Nebtek received a wired HD signal while the competing monitor received a transmitted standard definition signal.
- The Nebtek level feature was acknowledged to have performance issues at the time of these discussions and was undergoing development.
- Monitor technology was noted as evolving rapidly, potentially making purchase decisions based on current specifications short-lived.
- Small format HD monitors used at that time typically did not display full resolution 1920x1080 images.
