The HD cable line from the top stage to the bottom of the sled contains no electronics and is a direct wire connection.
Signal dropout can occur when radio transmitters operate near the sled due to inadequate shielding of BNC cables or other components in the signal chain.
Bypassing the sled internal cabling by running a separate cable down the post can eliminate signal dropout problems.
Mini BNC connectors on the sled can loosen over time with regular use, causing intermittent signal loss that mimics other connectivity issues.
Monitor boards and their connectors inside the Ultra 2 can separate due to vibration during transport or air travel, creating loose contacts that result in signal dropout.
Re-seating loose connectors and securing them with thin electrical tape around the connection point can prevent boards from vibrating apart.
Using an external decimator with SD video bypass provides stable signal when HD connectivity is unreliable.
