• The third battery plate from the M1 is also recommended for the M2, because the third battery can be repositioned for better weight distribution.
• The Volt gimbal is asymmetrical due to motor placement on one side and fails the 180-degree pan balance test: a lens balanced in one direction will not hold level after a 180-degree pan because the motors sit on one side only.
• The motors can electronically compensate for the asymmetry, but most operators prefer mechanical balancing using a gimbal balancing kit or stainless steel shims to achieve level horizon without relying on electronic correction.
