Lo que encontró el hilo

• Wireless video transmitters can transmit uncompressed HD-SDI, SD-SDI, component, and composite video signals without noticeable delay to remote receivers.
• Digital wireless transmitters provide a rock-solid picture until signal loss occurs, at which point the image drops to black rather than displaying degradation like older analog systems.
• The BOXX Meridian transmitter operates on license-free 5.4 GHz channels with a range of 200-450 feet depending on antenna configuration.
• The IDX CW5-HD transmitter can experience signal dropouts of 10+ seconds to regain lock and may drop signal when the transmitter is positioned very close to the receiver.
• The IDX CW5-HD performs reliably in sub-zero temperature conditions.
• Wireless HD transmitters enable directors to monitor steadycam and remote camera feeds without visible latency, improving workflow on set.

• The 2009 discussion predates current technology and transmission standards.
• Testing and field comparison between the BOXX and IDX units was not completed in the thread.
• One report of Panavision testing showed the BOXX unit falling short of the IDX in early testing, but this may have changed with production models.
• The actual shipping dates and final specifications for the BOXX Meridian unit were still pending at time of discussion.
• Pricing and availability varied by region and changed during development.
