Lower sled locking mechanism on gimbal fails to securely hold arms in place
Il y a 14 ans. Le matériel et les prix ont peut-être changé depuis.
Ce que le fil a révélé
- The large locking screw at the base of the sled is designed to clamp down both rods and hold them in position, but some units do not achieve this clamping force even when tightened fully.
- The two smaller screws function as registration pins to prevent the rods from sliding out completely, not as primary locking mechanisms.
- Insufficient clamping by the main locking screw can allow battery arms and other components to shift position during operations like gimbal balancing.
- Some instances of this problem were resolved by replacing undersized parts.
Dépend de
- Only reported on one specific model year (2012).
- The root cause was identified as potentially undersized components in affected units, but this was not confirmed across all occurrences.
- No long-term follow-up provided on whether replacement parts permanently solved the issue.
