Connecting Canon 7D video output to Steadicam ProVid2 monitor

15 years old. Gear and prices may have changed since.

What the thread found

The Canon 7D provides standard NTSC analog video output via a dedicated port using a proprietary cable that ships with the camera
Using the analog video output is preferable to converting the HDMI output to analog, as the ProVid2 monitor accepts analog signals directly without additional conversion
The analog video connection method proved functional for this setup
