Comparison of small professional broadcast monitors for brightness and viewing angles
22 years old. Gear and prices may have changed since.
What the thread found
- Astro DM-3005 monitors suffer from poor brightness levels and limited viewing angles, requiring close proximity to the screen to see the display clearly.
- Panasonic 8.4-inch monitors offer better performance than the Astro DM-3005 at a lower price point.
- Neither the Astro DM-3005 nor the Panasonic 8.4-inch monitor is recommended for outdoor use due to brightness limitations.
Depends on
- The comparison is based on experience with unspecified generations of the Astro monitor, without specific technical measurements provided.
- The discussion does not include details about the Tiffen monitor mentioned, limiting the ability to evaluate that option.
