Sony F55 HDMI output compatibility with 23.98 frame rate

13 years old. Gear and prices may have changed since.

What the thread found

The camera's HDMI port does not output 23.98 frame rate even when cross-converting from HD SDI to HDMI
HDMI works at all other frame rates on this camera
The receiving HDMI device queries the camera to determine supported formats, and if the device does not advertise 23.98 support, the camera will not output that frame rate

Depends on

This observation comes from one user's experience in 2013 and may be device-specific depending on the HDMI receiver being used
The issue may stem from the receiving device's capabilities rather than the camera itself
No resolution or firmware update outcome is documented
