Adapting camera plates for the DXL2 camera on Master Series stabilizer sleds
What the thread found
- The DXL2 camera may not align properly with standard Master Series camera plates without using a bridge plate adapter
- A bridge plate can serve as a workaround but increases sled length
- Custom drilling of existing plates to match camera hole spacing has been used successfully on similar systems
- Universal camera plate systems with standardized hole patterns can accommodate various camera models including the DXL2
Depends on
- The DXL2 hole spacing may differ from RED or mini format cameras, making assumptions about compatibility uncertain
- The custom drilling solution is acknowledged as non-ideal
- No definitive product recommendation was confirmed as a complete solution in this thread
