Utility plates with gold mount studs on one side and velcro on the other side allow indirect attachment of accessories to battery plates.
Aluminum utility plates with tapped holes provide better weight-bearing capacity than delrin plates when studs need to handle significant load.
Delrin utility plates are lighter and cheaper than aluminum alternatives while still functioning well for velcro-based mounting applications.
Commercially available utility plates can be sourced from specialty equipment suppliers under the product name 'utility plates'.

Aluminum plates are recommended only when weight-bearing through the tapped holes is a concern; velcro mounting does not require this durability.
