The virtual horizon in the SmallHD 703 firmware responds slowly to changes and lacks accuracy compared to a physical reference
The virtual horizon can be adjusted for sensitivity but still does not feel reliably reactive or precise
A physical bubble level or external digital level provides better reliability than the virtual horizon alone
The SmallHD 703 supports 1080p at 60fps over SDI, which is becoming standard for music videos and commercials
The SmallHD 703 is lighter than comparable Transvideo monitors and offers better format flexibility at a lower price point
Image contrast, brightness, and visual quality are superior on Transvideo monitors compared to the SmallHD 703

The virtual horizon experience is based on limited user reports
Comparison is specific to music video and commercial production workflows
Weight difference is minimal between the 703 and Transvideo when mounting systems are included
