Vibration issues when using Alien Revolution stabilizer on PRO sled
What the thread found
- Vibrations felt during walking with the post in horizontal position may result from a loose camera plate or insufficiently tightened locking screws
- Belt drive gears and their attachment to drive shafts should be checked for tightness as a potential source of vibration
- The 1.5 inch post provides less stability than the 2 inch post for which the Alien Revolution was originally designed
- A clunking noise from the gimbal during transitions between high and low modes can generate vibrations, particularly when the post is horizontal
- The PRO gimbal was not engineered for use with the Alien Revolution, despite this combination being attempted by some users
Depends on
- The Alien Revolution was designed for the MK-V 2 inch post sled, not the 1.5 inch PRO sled post
- Using a 2 inch XCS post with PRO connector would require separate gimbal acquisition
- The clunking during mode transitions occurs specifically at horizontal post position
