Tuning the SmartSystem Arm X1: spring selection and XTune adjustment method.
What the thread found
- Before working with XTune, set it to minimum and first select the correct spring combination for the load—use as few springs as possible, but compressed strongly.
- XTune is not a 'ride' control function like those found on Tiffen arms.
- Registering the arm in the manufacturer's care portal provides tuning tips and firmware updates; one operator's tutorial video on spring selection is recommended as a reference.
- One operator fabricated a custom screw to fix the post inside the arm and added a hanging hole for transport convenience.
Depends on
- Correct spring selection depends on the specific camera and payload weight.
