MK-V Level calibration and operation on the sled, and reliability compared to Wave-based leveling.
What the thread found
- The MK-V Level calibrates only once, upon power-up after the rig is switched on; it then remains active until the rig is powered down, at which point recalibration occurs on the next startup.
- Button logic: after calibration the button transitions from red to green (ready state); pressing again changes it to blue (active); a third press pauses operation and returns to green, similar to Volt behavior.
- The gimbal clamp screw shipped with the MK-V Level is the original M4 specification and has not been upgraded to M5.
- One operator with long-term Wave experience raised an unresolved question about the reliability of the MK-V Level before considering a transition with the Wave as backup.
Depends on
- Reliability assessment remains incomplete; no operator feedback confirmed performance over extended use.
