Building interchangeable battery plates for Steadicam® Axis: Gold Mount and V-Mount options at low cost

What the thread found

Online retailers stock battery plates compatible with the Steadicam® Axis from the same manufacturer as original equipment.
One operator built two interchangeable plates—one Gold Mount and one V-Mount—by installing new connectors in approximately 30 minutes.
Material cost for both plates totaled roughly 35 USD.
This approach allows operators to choose which battery system to use on a given job without purchasing a complete new rig.
