The charger case requires removing screws from both battery plates on top and one screw from the front top panel to open it.
The case design makes it non-obvious which screws hold it together, making written or photographic guidance essential for safe disassembly.
Firmware upgrade via chip replacement takes approximately five minutes once the case is open.
Instructions for case opening may be included with the replacement chip from the manufacturer, but are not easily found on the manufacturer's website.
