Comparison between Cinegear and NAB trade shows for production equipment
14 years old. Gear and prices may have changed since.
What the thread found
- NAB focuses on broadcast production technologies while Cinegear emphasizes movie production technologies
- Cinegear is a smaller and more intimate event compared to the much larger NAB
- Cinegear provides access to the Paramount back-lot location
- Some vendors specializing in film equipment, such as Pro and Preston, exhibit only at Cinegear and not at NAB
- Cinegear is typically a shorter event lasting about two days
Depends on
- The discussion does not specify which year's events are being compared
- Attendance patterns and vendor presence may change between years
- The claim about specific vendors only attending Cinegear is not verified with current data
