Reducing vibrations on ARRI Trinity with long camera setup during horizontal post and tilted head at 45 degrees.

What the thread found
- Long setups require upper support: SSB-4 (Stabilizer Systems Bracket 4, K2.0044225) plus Top Attachment Bracket TAB-1 (K2.0041117), and correct adjustment of the lower clamp per manufacturer guidance.
- A quick test: wedge a small shim between camera top and ring without strong pressure; if vibrations disappear, upper support is missing.
- If vibrations persist despite support, the roll belt may be too loose and requires re-tensioning or recalibration by the manufacturer, which has significantly reduced such vibrations.
- PID and motor power should be tuned only after mechanical setup is correct: for long setups, tilt approximately 40–45%, roll at least 30%; excessive PID values without upper support promote vibrations; test by reducing motor power.
Depends on
- Camera weight and setup length.
- Outcome depends on proper lower clamp adjustment and roll belt condition.
- Conflicting guidance exists between reducing motor power and increasing tilt on long setups.
