2024From a Facebook group: Arri Artemis Trinity

Centering Sony cameras in the ARRI Trinity T1 using custom-made riser plates instead of ARRI factory plates.

What the thread found

  • One operator designed custom riser plates from 6061 or 7075 aluminum, CNC-machined and hard-anodized, as a cost-effective alternative to the full ARRI plate set for Sony cameras.
  • The custom small riser plate costs approximately EUR 80 and the large version approximately EUR 125.
  • A Sony F55 mounted on these plates sits precisely centered in the Trinity ring.
  • The plates are compatible with Sony F5, F55, Venice 1, Venice 2, and Burano according to the designer.
  • A Sony FX6 sits approximately 1 mm above the nodal center of the ring when mounted on these plates.
  • The plates are designed as modular components to work with multiple camera models, and the ARRI top plate and side angle bracket can remain attached to Venice and Burano cameras during use.

Depends on

  • Compatibility with T2 Trinity model unclear.
  • The design is specific to the Trinity ring geometry; applicability to other rigs unknown.
