Cinetronic monitor mounting and setup for steadicam rigs
15 years old. Gear and prices may have changed since.
What the thread found
- The Cinetronic monitor can be mounted using a Sachtler Tilting Telescopic Monitor Arm positioned upside down with a universal yoke to achieve coplanar alignment with batteries.
- The MK-V Genesis monitor arm with the spigot removed and anchored directly to the monitor's central hole provides a stable mounting solution.
- A Sachtler monitor bracket may introduce vibration when extended with a 4-pound monitor, whereas a pro monitor arm with extensions can provide better stability.
- The Cinetronic monitor offers similar functionality to earlier TB-6 models while providing lower power consumption and comparable weight.
- A next-generation Cinetronic design with new housing and new controller was in development but had no confirmed release date at the time of discussion.
Depends on
- Discussion is from 2011, product specifications and availability may have changed.
- Vibration performance with the Sachtler arm depends on specific weight and extension configuration used.
- Release date for next-generation housing was uncertain and not provided.
- Experience is specific to steadicam rig mounting applications.
