What the thread found

• Motorized tilt heads are not essential for any shot but some operators use them on nearly every shot while others work successfully without them
• Motorized stages allow quick headroom adjustments between takes without disturbing the sled settlement
• Motorized stages can be used mid-shot during transitions like stairs but require operator focus to manage
• Manual tilt heads enable pan shots while keeping the post level, which is useful for specific scenarios like concert filming from ground level
• The Pro arm is noted for smooth operation and can outperform G-series arms in certain shot types
• Betz-Tools tilt head add-ons for Pro and MK-V rigs are described as solid and fast to install with approximately 3 cm height increase over stock position
• Motor reliability concerns exist regarding unexpected dropout during shots
• Motorized stages are most useful in live work where rapid repositioning between different angles is required

Depends on

• Discussion reflects personal preferences rather than objective performance data
• Limited information about long-term reliability of motorized components
• Motorized features require purchasing complete rig systems rather than individual components with some manufacturers
• Experience varies greatly between operators and their specific working conditions
