Modifying a Wave horizon stabilizer for direct PRO-Post mounting and balancing without a top stage
What the thread found
- A specialist shop performs the modification by disassembling the Wave, routing channels for cables, and integrating a custom connector panel with connectors selected by the customer, with final assembly mounted directly on the Post.
- This direct mounting saves overall height but voids the Wave's warranty.
- Without a top stage, lateral and longitudinal adjustment is lost; one operator solved this by adding an XCS X/Y-plate on the Wave and a height-adjustable battery plate at the sled base for fine balancing.
- Such modifications are made as one-off custom orders and have also been requested for other sleds such as the Master Series.
Depends on
- Requires specialist fabrication; eliminates factory warranty; balancing strategy depends on individual rig configuration and user preference.
