Anton Bauer Titon Micro 150 battery not recognized by charger, flashing red: reset and deep-discharge recovery
What the thread found
- A small reset button is located in an opening along the seam above the display on the Titon Micro 150.
- If the battery is in deep discharge, repeatedly connecting it to the charger for approximately 30 seconds at a time, then disconnecting and reconnecting (around 20 cycles), can restore recognition.
- The Anton Bauer Dual 2722 Charger requires firmware version 3.6 or later to properly recognize some Titon Micro 150 units.
- One operator experienced this fault on a three-month-old battery after 20–25 charge cycles, with 11 of 12 batteries in the set functioning normally, suggesting a manufacturing defect covered under warranty.
Depends on
- Battery age and number of prior charge cycles.
- Charger firmware version must be current.
- Outcome depends on whether the cell protection circuit has failed or the battery is truly in deep discharge.
