Tally light integration between GPI-Pro CineLive sled and Cinetronic monitors

13 years old. Gear and prices may have changed since.

What the thread found

  • Cinetronic Gen2 monitors accept tally trigger voltage input ranging from 1 to 24 volts from the CineLive sled's lower LEMO connector
  • Tally output from the CineLive sled can be wired to Cinetronic Gen2 monitors using either a 2-pin or 8-pin LEMO connector
  • Cinetronic Gen1 monitors do not support tally functionality
  • Cinetronic Gen2 monitors can display tally as either a red bar across the top of the image or red corners
  • Some monitor cables may not have all eight pins wired on the LEMO connector even though eight pins are available, which can prevent proper tally operation
  • Cinetronic Gen2 monitors support picture-in-picture display enabling simultaneous viewing of analog program feed and HD picture with on-screen tally on a single monitor

Depends on

  • Information pertains specifically to GPI-Pro CineLive sled and Cinetronic Gen1 and Gen2 monitors
  • Testing and integration mentioned are from 2013 timeframe
  • Users must verify all eight pins are present in monitor cables when using 8-pin LEMO connection for tally
