Compatibility between 3A sled gimbal and G-50 arm

14 years old. Gear and prices may have changed since.

What the thread found

  • The 3A gimbal yoke has a 5/8 inch mounting post while the G-50 arm uses a 3/4 inch post, requiring an adapter to connect them
  • Adapters for connecting different post sizes can be purchased or custom-made
  • The G-50 arm comes with interchangeable adapter posts in multiple sizes (0.5, 0.625, and 0.740 inches) that can be swapped out
  • Commercial quick-change adapters are available for bridging incompatible post sizes

Depends on

  • This appears to be a workaround rather than a direct compatibility solution
  • The specific adapter products and suppliers are not detailed
