Cinetronic Digital Level monitor specifications and early user experience

13 years old. Gear and prices may have changed since.

What the thread found

  • The Cinetronic CDL level mounts in the same position as the earlier PDL on compatible sleds.
  • The level must be mounted with the logo facing upward and kept within 2 degrees of level for proper operation.
  • The device includes inertia compensation similar to other modern levels.
  • Users reported the level responds well with dampening set to 3 and gyro set to 1, providing responsiveness comparable to the PDL.
  • The level display can be overlaid on a black background outside the image area and scaled smaller to match other monitor sizes.
  • The level span can be configured to 2 degrees.

Depends on

  • Early adopters needed time to become familiar with the controls and settings.
  • Limited user testing had been completed at the time of the discussion.
  • Mounting orientation is strictly required for proper function.
