Low mode bracket installation and securing the rod against rotation
12 years old. Gear and prices may have changed since.
What the thread found
- When a low mode bracket rod spins freely after undocking the rig, it indicates the rod is not properly locked to the bracket
- A correctly installed low mode bracket should have both a pin through the bracket and post, and a set screw to prevent the rod from rotating
- Installing the bracket upside down causes the rig to fall back toward the operator after undocking
Depends on
- The thread does not specify the bracket model or whether all low mode brackets use the same locking mechanism
- Only one example of the upside-down installation issue is documented
