Pin configuration of a PRO Gen2 top-stage junction box, particularly the focus connection on a 30-year-old unit
What the thread found
- The box is approximately 30 years old and may have been modified internally.
- To determine the pin assignment, measure continuity with a multimeter and observe what occurs when toggling the 12/24 V switch.
- Originally, a 4-pin hermaphrodite connector was standard; non-standard connectors indicate a later retrofit for Bartech or newer Preston 3/4 systems.
- This particular top-stage junction box may be an early third-party unit designed for the Cinema Products 3A and is not documented in standard handbooks.
Depends on
- Modification history unknown; original configuration cannot be assumed
- Actual pin mapping depends on whether the box retains original wiring or has been retrofitted
