Adjusting side-to-side play in a Steadicam® TST-2 top stage
What the thread found
- Side-to-side play in the TST-2 top stage can be adjusted using a 1.5 mm hex key without disassembling the stage.
- The adjustment screws are located beside the spirit bubble on the top stage.
- A quarter to half turn of the adjustment screws is typically sufficient to eliminate play.
- Opening the top stage or bottom stage is not recommended because all screws have a defined clamp force that is lost once the stage is disassembled.
Depends on
- This procedure is specific to the Steadicam® TST-2 model.
