Powering BFD wireless follow focus receivers from GLIDECAM GOLD stabilizer 12V outputs
22 years old. Gear and prices may have changed since.
What the thread found
- The GLIDECAM GOLD stabilizer has two 12V power output options: a 2-pin accessory connector and a 3-pin camera power port
- The 2-pin accessory connector draws voltage directly from the battery and can supply current draw up to 3 amps or more
- Before connecting any external device to the stabilizer's power outputs, you should verify the power requirements and specifications of the receiving device to prevent damage to sensitive electronics
- Using the 2-pin accessory connector for powering BFD receivers is preferable to using the 3-pin camera power port because it preserves the camera power port for its intended use
Depends on
- Information applies specifically to GLIDECAM GOLD model
- The discussion does not specify what BFD unit connector types are required
- Thread does not confirm whether the 3-amp specification is regulated or fluctuating current
