What the thread found

• Multiple wireless video transmitter systems use the same underlying technology based on a common chipset and transmit on the same frequency band, so the choice between them depends on interface preferences and reliability rather than fundamental capability differences
• The Bolt system uses SDI connections which integrates directly with SDI-based production workflows without requiring HDMI conversion
• Early units of the Bolt experienced overheating issues during extended use in warm conditions that caused signal dropout until the equipment cooled
• The Bolt system received hardware updates addressing voltage tolerance and other reliability improvements through a complimentary upgrade program
• The Paralinx Arrow system offers USB power connections and HDMI input capability as alternatives to SDI-based systems
• Transmitter selection should account for the power connector type and integration with existing camera support equipment to minimize additional cables and adapters

Depends on

• Discussion from 2013 about equipment that may have been superseded by newer models
• The overheating issue was reported for at least one unit but unclear how widespread the problem was across the product line
• No detailed specifications provided for reliability or long-term performance data
• References to potential NAB announcements made predictions that were not confirmed in the discussion
