2023From a Facebook group: Arri Artemis Trinity
Initial equipment specification for ARRI Trinity 2: camera plates, power cables, and battery selection.
Note (as of October 2026)Curt O. Schaller, the developer of Artemis and Trinity, has no longer been with ARRI since the end of 2025. To our knowledge, ARRI currently has no dedicated team and no official contact persons for its stabilizer systems. In our view, the future of this line is uncertain. If you are buying new, get written confirmation from ARRI beforehand on how long service and spare parts are guaranteed. Have used rigs checked by the manufacturer before you buy.

What the thread found
- Camera plates and cables must match the planned cameras: SAM-2, SAM-4, and SAM-6 plates are available; power cables include 12/24 V XLR, 24 V Mini-Power, and RED connectors.
- For ALEXA 35, the SAM-6 plate is the correct specification.
- Several operators fly Core SWX Nano 150 or Helix Max 150 batteries, reporting nearly a full shooting day without swapping.
- ARRI recommends PAG batteries; bebob B-Mount is mentioned as an alternative.
- Apex plate combined with SAM-0 instead of SAM-6 on ALEXA 35 results in approximately 1/4 inch additional height, risking clearance problems with focus scale markings and side rod brackets.
- Apex-SAM-0 combination requires the camera to sit exactly centered in the head; ARRI plates are preferred because tolerances in the Trinity ring are critical.
Depends on
- Apex plate fit depends on precise camera centering in the stabilizer head.
- Battery choice may affect flight time based on shooting conditions and camera power draw.
