Radio frequency interference between Modulus wireless transmitters and Bartech focus control systems
19 years old. Gear and prices may have changed since.
What the thread found
- Modulus 3000 transmitters can cause performance problems with Bartech focus control units when operated above channel 50
- Placing a Modulus 3000 transmitter directly against a Bartech receiver can cause interference regardless of channel selection
- Keeping Modulus 3000 transmitters below channel 50 prevents most interference issues with Bartech focus control
- Canatrans wireless transmitters do not experience the same channel-related interference problems as Modulus units because they operate only up to channel 50
- Canatrans transmitters maintain better frequency stability by broadcasting only on their designated channel rather than spreading across a wider frequency range
Depends on
- No testing information provided for Modulus 4000 model, only speculation based on 3000 behavior
- Physical placement restrictions noted only for the 3000 model
- The original thread does not specify which Bartech focus control models are affected
- Recommendation to consult Bartech instruction manual suggests additional channel and frequency coordination guidelines exist but are not detailed in this discussion
