20 years old. Gear and prices may have changed since.
What the thread found
- PRO II Monitor Plug uses Lemo 1B308 connector with pin 1 as 12V ground, pin 2 as 12V power, pin 3 as video signal, pin 4 as video ground, pins 5-6 as not connected, pin 7 as level signal, and pin 8 as not connected.
- PRO style Video/Power Out uses Lemo 0B304 connector with pin 1 as 12V ground, pin 2 as 12V power, pin 3 as video signal, and pin 4 as video ground.
- Steadicam style 4-pin Hirose monitor connector uses pin 1 for power ground, pin 2 for video ground, pin 3 for video out/in, and pin 4 for power.
- Monitor connectors are sled-specific and not universal across all manufacturers, though PRO style connectors have become widely adopted for compatibility.
- Film camera power connectors vary by manufacturer: Arri 12-volt and Aaton models use 4-pin XLR wired for 12 volts, Moviecam uses 4-pin XLR wired for 24 volts, Arri 24-volt models use 2-pin Fischer connectors, and Panavision uses either 3-pin Lemo for older models or 2-pin Lemo for newer Millennium cameras.
- Follow focus power cables and run cables are model and manufacturer specific and require matching connectors.
