Bartech wireless follow focus controller not powering Heden M26VE motor properly
14 years old. Gear and prices may have changed since.
What the thread found
- When a Heden M26VE digital motor is connected to a Bartech remote control unit, the system may fail to initialize or calibrate if the power supply cannot deliver sufficient current.
- Excessive torque settings on the control device can cause the motor to draw more power than a battery can supply, resulting in system failure.
- A 68Wh battery may reach capacity limits quickly if powering multiple devices simultaneously such as camera, monitor, and wireless transmitters in addition to the motor.
- Testing with an alternative power source can help determine whether the issue originates from the battery or the wireless follow focus kit.
Depends on
- The exact battery model and condition were not confirmed.
- The specific torque settings and their relationship to power consumption were not quantified.
- No resolution to the original problem was documented in the thread.
- The advice assumes a BDR control device without complete confirmation of the user's equipment configuration.
