Remote control setup for ARRI Trinity 2: RF modules, joystick controller, and L-Bus power configuration.
Note (as of October 2026)Curt O. Schaller, the developer of Artemis and Trinity, has no longer been with ARRI since the end of 2025. To our knowledge, ARRI currently has no dedicated team and no official contact persons for its stabilizer systems. In our view, the future of this line is uncertain. If you are buying new, get written confirmation from ARRI beforehand on how long service and spare parts are guaranteed. Have used rigs checked by the manufacturer before you buy.
What the thread found
- The ARRI Trinity 2 can be operated remotely via an RF radio module that enables wireless L-Bus connection.
- A complete wireless remote setup requires the RF module set, a joystick controller (EJS-1), and optional wheel controller (DRW-1).
- The joystick or wheel controller can be powered through the L-Bus connection itself, eliminating separate power requirements.
- Multiple component combinations exist for remote control setups, similar to modular assembly systems.
- The DP operates tilt and roll control via the joystick mounted on a tripod or table.
Depends on
- Specific power requirements depend on the L-Bus configuration and connected load.
- Setup options vary based on whether joystick or wheel control is preferred.
