Practical experience with Anton Bauer Cine Bat cube batteries compared to HC-Dionic batteries
What the thread found
- The Cine 90WH battery weighs 2.2 lbs while the HC-Dionic equivalent at 91WH weighs 1.8 lbs, making the Cine batteries heavier despite similar capacity
- Both the 90WH and 150WH Cine models use the same physical case, with the 90WH model having empty cell slots while the 150WH model has all slots filled
- The primary new feature in Cine batteries compared to HC-Dionics is the addition of a D-tap connector
- Cine batteries proved sufficient for powering a wireless follow focus system, monitor, and occasional video transmitter throughout a full day of operation
- The cube form factor works well when mounted on the back of cube-shaped cameras but can restrict monitor rod positioning on other rigs
- Carbon construction does not result in weight savings compared to HC-Dionic batteries
Depends on
- User experience was limited to specific use cases: Tiffen Flyer LE camera and low-power configurations
- The weight comparison statement appears contradictory within the thread itself
- No direct testing of 150WH capacity drain rate was reported
