What the thread found

• Casio EV-4500 handheld monitors with 4-inch color LCD screens work reliably with Modulus 3000 transmitters and require minimal battery drain when kept powered on continuously
• Analog tuner-based handheld TVs retain their channel selection after power-off and power-on cycles, while digital tuners reset and require reconfiguration each time
• The Hoodman H400 housing is a compatible protective accessory for Casio handheld monitors during exterior daytime shooting
• Wolf Seeburg LCD backup monitors with built-in TV tuners can receive Modulus signals and can be powered via standard production power solutions
• Modulus 3000 operates only on standard definition NTSC or PAL video and cannot transmit widescreen 16:9 images, resulting in either squished or letterboxed displays on receiving monitors
• Rechargeable AA batteries provide better cost-effectiveness and environmental benefits compared to disposable batteries for handheld monitors requiring four AA cells

Depends on

• Casio EV-4500 drains four AA batteries rapidly when unit is powered off and on repeatedly due to channel reset requirement
• Digital-tuner handheld TVs fully retune and lose channel memory when powered off, making them less convenient than analog alternatives on set
• Widescreen 4:3 aspect ratio mismatches may only display correctly if receiving monitor has aspect ratio toggle capability
• Discussion thread does not specify which Modulus model variants are discussed
• Pricing and availability data from 2004 may not reflect current market conditions
