What the thread found

• The F3 can output HD-SDI and SD-SDI signals simultaneously through two separate SDI ports when configured correctly in the menu.
• The F3 cannot simultaneously output digital and analog signals; it will output either analog composite or digital SDI, not both at once.
• When the side SDI port is set to SD-SDI mode, the composite video output port will send an SD composite signal, but this disables HD-SDI output from that port.
• HD playback and slow-motion monitoring may require switching between different port configurations and menu settings, as not all output ports function the same way during these modes.
• The camera menu labeling for output configuration is unclear and confusing, making proper setup difficult without trial and error or prior experience.
• A downconverter may be necessary if simultaneous HD recording to an external recorder and wireless SD monitoring are both required.

Depends on

• Multiple participants reported different experiences and some claimed uncertainty about whether their successful configurations were actually simultaneous or a misunderstanding of what was happening.
• Firmware version may affect capabilities, and the manual consulted may not reflect all firmware updates.
• One participant could not reproduce successful dual HD-SDI and composite SD output despite multiple attempts across different camera bodies and rental house assistance.
• The experience level and documentation clarity issues mean that what works may vary by firmware revision and individual camera configuration.
