Mounting a Teradek wireless transmitter on an ARRI Artemis Trinity sled without cable ties

Note (as of October 2026)Curt O. Schaller, the developer of Artemis and Trinity, has no longer been with ARRI since the end of 2025. To our knowledge, ARRI currently has no dedicated team and no official contact persons for its stabilizer systems. In our view, the future of this line is uncertain. If you are buying new, get written confirmation from ARRI beforehand on how long service and spare parts are guaranteed. Have used rigs checked by the manufacturer before you buy.

What the thread found

  • The ARRI CSS clamping bridge 19 mm (Bridge 52) mounted to the sled rods with a 1/4-inch threaded hole drilled centrally allows quick swapping of a transmitter via quick-release plate between sled and tripod positions.
  • The same clamp serves dual duty as a quick-release monitor bracket in Steadicam® mode, consolidating hardware on the rig.
  • An alternative rapid setup places the transmitter directly on the battery plate to reduce additional mounting hardware.
  • Teradek antenna performance improves when all antennas are oriented in the same polarization plane (either horizontal or vertical), whereas mixed orientations offer advantages only in specific environments.
  • Operators report the ARRI CSS bridge as expensive for a rod clamp with lead times around three weeks at time of inquiry; many operators machine additional 1/4-20 and 3/8-inch threaded bosses into ARRI accessories to standardize mounting.

Depends on

  • Effectiveness of unified antenna polarization depends on local RF environment and building architecture.
