Powering camera, monitor, and accessories simultaneously on ARRI Artemis with BMS battery bricks and matching battery plates.
Note (as of October 2026)Curt O. Schaller, the developer of Artemis and Trinity, has no longer been with ARRI since the end of 2025. To our knowledge, ARRI currently has no dedicated team and no official contact persons for its stabilizer systems. In our view, the future of this line is uncertain. If you are buying new, get written confirmation from ARRI beforehand on how long service and spare parts are guaranteed. Have used rigs checked by the manufacturer before you buy.
What the thread found
- BMS battery bricks lack the voltage converter normally included on Artemis 2, requiring battery plates to match the voltage needed by each device.
- For 12v camera cables, a single 12v battery source (V-Mount, Gold Mount, or 12v B-Mount plate) can power camera, monitor, and accessories through BMS bricks.
- For 24v camera cables, two battery plates are required: one 24v plate (Gold Mount 26v or B-Mount 24v) for the camera and one 12v plate (V-Mount, Gold Mount 12v, or 12v B-Mount) for monitor and accessories.
- Alternatively, a single 24v B-Mount plate with a P-TAP to LEMO cable can supply both 24v to the camera and 12v to other devices.
- One BMS brick model (K2.0052057) supports hot-swapping batteries.
- ARRI supplies P-TAP to LEMO cables to derive 12v power from 24v B-Mount battery plates, bypassing the plate output if needed.
Depends on
- System design depends on camera voltage specification (12v or 24v input).
- Battery plate compatibility varies by type (V-Mount, Gold Mount, or B-Mount) and voltage rating.
- Solution requires matching cable types to battery plate outputs.
