Identifying the power connector for follow focus equipment on cinema rigs

20 years old. Gear and prices may have changed since.

Note (as of October 2026)Curt O. Schaller, the developer of Artemis and Trinity, has no longer been with ARRI since the end of 2025. To our knowledge, ARRI currently has no dedicated team and no official contact persons for its stabilizer systems. In our view, the future of this line is uncertain. If you are buying new, get written confirmation from ARRI beforehand on how long service and spare parts are guaranteed. Have used rigs checked by the manufacturer before you buy.

What the thread found

  • The power connector used on follow focus sleds with a two-pin half-circle design is typically a Lemo hermaphroditic connector from the S Series
  • For modern rigs using GPI-PRO setup like the Artemis EFP Pro, the follow focus power connector is a Lemo 0S304 with pin assignments of 12VDC on pin 1, no connection on pin 2, camera power ground on pin 3, and 24VDC on pin 4
  • The Lemo connector visual identification system on their website can help identify the correct connector size needed

Depends on

  • The pin configuration may differ depending on specific rig setup
  • Information applies primarily to GPI-PRO based systems
