Voltage display discrepancies between camera and RCP on ARRI Artemis Trinity 2: 24 V rail showing 23.4 V at RCP versus 28 V at camera.
Note (as of October 2026)Curt O. Schaller, the developer of Artemis and Trinity, has no longer been with ARRI since the end of 2025. To our knowledge, ARRI currently has no dedicated team and no official contact persons for its stabilizer systems. In our view, the future of this line is uncertain. If you are buying new, get written confirmation from ARRI beforehand on how long service and spare parts are guaranteed. Have used rigs checked by the manufacturer before you buy.

What the thread found
- Multiple operators report inconsistent 24 V rail readings: camera and RCP often display approximately 27.7 V regardless of battery state, making the 24 V display unreliable as a charge indicator.
- Practical workaround: use the 14 V display on the RCP as the actual state-of-charge indicator, as it decreases while the 24 V reading remains static; batteries can be discharged to approximately 12.7 V before system shutdown occurs at 12.5 V.
- Check individual battery cell voltages via the display on the lower battery holder (Jog Wheel interface) to determine whether the 24 V rail drops sharply with fresh batteries, and verify that firmware 4.0 is installed, though this issue occurred in earlier firmware versions as well.
- The lower sled stage supplies regulated voltage to the camera; readings below 30 V there are not critical, but 23 V displayed at the sled position would be concerning.
- The sled contains a voltage regulator, suggesting the root cause likely resides in the sled's power box; one operator achieved readings above 30 V by adding a second battery brick on the camera back.
- Non-B-mount batteries were mentioned as a possible factor in voltage irregularities.
Depends on
- Discrepancy may be related to firmware version (4.0 versus earlier) versus hardware defect in the power box regulator.
- Battery type (B-mount versus other formats) may influence behavior.
