Power distribution on ARRI Artemis 2 Live: dual voltage supplies, connector voltages, and feeding broadcast cameras with auxiliary equipment.

Note (as of October 2026)Curt O. Schaller, the developer of Artemis and Trinity, has no longer been with ARRI since the end of 2025. To our knowledge, ARRI currently has no dedicated team and no official contact persons for its stabilizer systems. In our view, the future of this line is uncertain. If you are buying new, get written confirmation from ARRI beforehand on how long service and spare parts are guaranteed. Have used rigs checked by the manufacturer before you buy.

What the thread found

  • The ARRI Artemis 2 Live 12V/24V power block allows two battery mounts of different voltages (e.g., one 12V and one 24V) or a single B-Mount battery with 24V output.
  • A P-tap cable from a B-Mount battery can provide regulated 12V power independent of the 24V supply to the sled.
  • Top-stage connectors (Lemo 2P, RS 3-pin, L-bus) on the Artemis 2 Live receive power only through the dedicated power block, not directly from the battery mounts.
  • Swit BIVO batteries in 28V mode output regulated 16V on the D-tap connector, limited to approximately 2A or 50W.
  • Swit BIVO batteries in 14.4V mode deliver direct 200W output on the D-tap connector.
  • Operating a broadcast camera in 24V mode while simultaneously powering a monitor, voltage display, and video transmitter requires careful management of power distribution and amperage budgets.

Depends on

  • Configuration depends on available battery types (V-Lock, B-Mount) and their voltage ratings.
  • D-tap output limitations (16V at 2A in 28V mode; direct output in 14.4V mode) constrain the number and power draw of auxiliary devices.
  • Broadcast camera power requirements and auxiliary device power consumption must stay within the total amperage budget of the power block and battery configuration.
