Vibration issues encountered during a camera run with Amira mounted on Artemis Cine stabilizer

Note (as of October 2026)Curt O. Schaller, the developer of Artemis and Trinity, has no longer been with ARRI since the end of 2025. To our knowledge, ARRI currently has no dedicated team and no official contact persons for its stabilizer systems. In our view, the future of this line is uncertain. If you are buying new, get written confirmation from ARRI beforehand on how long service and spare parts are guaranteed. Have used rigs checked by the manufacturer before you buy.

What the thread found

  • When a camera rig experiences vibrations during operation, potential sources include loose battery brackets, improperly secured lenses, and inadequately tightened components throughout the sled assembly.
  • The top stage of an Artemis Cine sled has adjustment screws that can be fine-tuned to address vibration problems.
  • Vibration issues may resolve after systematic troubleshooting and component tightening, though identifying the exact cause can be difficult when multiple potential sources exist.

Depends on

  • The operator was unable to definitively identify which component caused the vibration since multiple issues were present simultaneously.
  • The specific setup lacked a long plate, which may have affected stability in ways not fully explored.
  • No systematic testing was performed to isolate individual components as the vibration source.
  • The account describes a single incident with one particular lens model and does not provide data on whether the issue recurs or how widespread it might be.
